"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!" Red Queen

October 04

dates

Today is World Animal Day. It is celebrated on 4th of October every year because of Francis of Assisi Christian feast. Why don't you do something for an animal life this weekend, friends?

Also today is the beginning of World Space Week. As you know 51 year ago this day 1st artificial Earth satellite Sputnik-1 was launched. Mm, to celebrate this date I am planning to go to Ufa's Planetaria (where I have never been to), but probably not during the Space Week... Maybe next Sunday. Certainly in October.

And today my friends and I opened a new season of English club. It was fun. And now I know how dogs drink ^_~ ...

Lots of love

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Aloha!

How are you my dear unknown readers?

September is almost over. Autumn steps firmly. Wind's getting colder, colder. Once I met a guy who told me that relations get closer in autumn because people are looking for warmness. In my opinion September is a month for broken hearts - beautiful and with a slight sweet smell of fading.

So what's going on in your life these days, friends?

I've got some news.

Have you already heard I quit my career in that out-patient hospital? Well, it should have been done long ago. I hated it.

Now I am studying reflexology. It is taking 4 months (till the end of December).

And also I am taking driving lessons. I hope I will get a driving license in October.

This month I visited one photo exhibition and one film festival.
PB
Photo exhibition was simply boring.

MSFF
Manhattan Short Film Festival had a couple of true gems in its anthology.

And one last thing you might not know about me: I am lone.

Lots of love

mountain Iremel

Aloha!!

Just a couple of pictures I would like to upload before summer is gone. Trip to Iremel mountain. Iremel is the second high mountain of South Urals as I know. Geagrphy is not my strong point, sorry ^^` . The way to the top of Iremel takes about 5 hours (21 kilometres on foot). After you climb up to the pick and look around you have to walk another 21 kilometres back to the camp. But view from the top is amasing - 360 degrees of wonderful landscape. It worths walking (in my opinion). By the way a pug dog walked with us and conquer the mountain as well. So maybe not such a difficult route as it looked like ^^` .

Have a nice last summer day!

rafting (or not?)

Aloha, friends!!

When say "rafting" people mostly imagine some kind of extreme sports. But actually it is not necessary to conquer steep rivers with swift current and rapids. It is also possible to go with stream of fast but smooth river. Enjoy varying scenaries. Stay for a night every time in a new place. Swim as much as you want.

My friends told me it's the best way of camping. And that's true. I loved it ^_~ .

We crossed really wild places: in five days we hadn't seen a cottege or village or town. Only rocks and forrest. It's amasing there are such places on the Earth. And not far. And lots of them. Maybe it's impossible in most of countries but several really big.

Take a look at new pictures, please ^^ (Some of them were made by my mother by the way)

Lots of love ^^
